I'm back! Sorry for such a long period of silence, but my family's been going through a very difficult time so I had to take a step back from everything for a bit. I've also been busy with two very large art projects (a game project for a friend and a book cover commission from another indieauthor). Anyways, during all of this I finally broke down and joined a site called Artbreeder as it looked interesting and I needed the distraction. Artbreeder is an AI art generator and I've been having a blast generating portraits (among other things) using it which is how this painting came about.
'Noelle' is a digital painting based off of an elf portrait I made on Artbreeder. The colouration reminded me of Christmas (and it was December when I started the piece), so I decided to run with that idea and, after painting the portrait, painted in all the little extras of the holly berries and leaves, earrings, and fur collar.
